REPRESENTATIVIDADE DE GÊNERO E COMPOSIÇÃO DOS TRIBUNAIS NO CENÁRIO INTERNACIONAL
Resumo
O presente artigo trata da composição dos Tribunais no contexto internacional e da representatividade de gênero, com o objetivo de abordar a relevância da presença feminina em tais Cortes e de estudar as principais causas para a existência de barreiras formais e informais ao acesso de mulheres nessas esferas públicas de poder. A partir da revisão da literatura estrangeira, foi verificado que as escolhas de design das Cortes influenciam a natureza representativa da instituição e que é necessário o desenvolvimento de políticas públicas para equalizar a distorção entre a presença de homens e mulheres no Poder Judiciário.
